I have a love-hate relationship with hair clips for my daughter, because they rarely stay in place. She has long blond, baby fine hair, but lots of it! She is at that age where she is fiercely independent. Long gone are the days where I can pick out her clothes or how I’d like her to wear her hair. Now that the twins are here, I pick my battles carefully and my daughter doing her own hair is one battle I choose to forgo.
The other day, she put as many clips as she could in her hair and decided that she was the character “Fancy Nancy”. As she proudly danced around the house with every inch of her hair covered with bows, she suddenly became saddened as each one fell out. That is what typically happens with most clips in her fine thin hair. The hair clip stays in place for exactly 5 minutes.
